How We Set Up a School Robotics Lab — Step by Step
Every school principal or trustee who contacts us asks the same first question: "How does this actually work, and how long does it take?" This post walks through our complete process, exactly as it happens.
Step 1 — Free School Visit and Assessment (Day 1)
We visit the school. We look at the available space, understand the existing science lab infrastructure, and speak with the principal and relevant teachers. During this visit, we also run a live demo session with a group of students — no commitment, no cost. The student reaction during that session usually tells us everything we need to know about where to pitch the program.
Step 2 — Custom Proposal (Days 3–5)
Based on the school's requirements, we prepare a detailed written proposal: lab layout, equipment list, curriculum outline, session schedule, teacher training plan, and pricing. Nothing is left verbal — everything goes in writing.
Step 3 — Lab Setup (Days 7–14)
Once the school confirms, setup begins. We handle procurement through our supplier network — the school does not need to source anything independently. Our team manages the full installation.
- Workstation layout and furniture arrangement
- Kit and tool organisation
- Safety protocol setup and labelling
- Equipment testing and calibration
- Instructor briefing and session run-through
Step 4 — First Student Session (Day 15)
The first session covers lab orientation — rules, equipment handling, and a simple hands-on project that every student completes before leaving. The energy in that first session is something most teachers remember for a long time.
Step 5 — Ongoing Managed Program
Monthly sessions, internal competitions, student progress tracking, certification, and teacher feedback loops — all managed by our team. The school's only job is to send the students. Everything else is handled.
